Unlike many providers we do not employ ‘theoretical tutors’, in fact we pride ourselves on the strength that all of our training is delivered by expert craftsmen and women working full time in the trade in their chosen discipline.

This stands testament to the reputation of the Academy – rather than seeing this as ‘training the competition’ some of the industries best-known names are sharing their skills to contribute to the regeneration of the sector.

We have over 250 years worth of collective trade experienced tutors delivering courses to small groups of students, ensuring you get the absolute maximum input and benefit from a lifetime of experience, not just to enrich your studies, but to enliven them.

Our tutor to student to student ratio is very high. Dependant on the course it varies from 1:1 to 1:6 but rarely exceeds 1:9. You will not find such highly supervised tuition amongst other providers. This ratio allows the potential for a large degree of individual tailoring to your training within each course.

Within each course page you will find a personal message from one of the tutors or a biography of their career, providing you with an insight in to the course that will help guide you to those that fit your chosen learning pathway.
