3Design (pronounced ‘three design’) is the only program that runs on Mac and Linux as well as PC. Designed partially as a reaction to other older CAD programs, it has a very different approach to modelling, involving deforming shapes and combining them with a host of jewellery-specific commands such as pave and shank builders.

3Design is also the only fully parametric modeling CAD program for jewellers. That means you don’t store models as geometry, you store them as steps. If you go back and change an earlier step, all later steps will be affected. This makes 3Design ideal for size ranges.
