Faceting

A rarely available and intricate subject, this hands-on course runs over 2 days and class sizes are kept to a maximum of three participants. Some knowledge is preferred but beginners are welcome to apply.

You will gain an understanding of how to create a ‘brilliant cut’, which is one of the most important types of cut to master, you will also be taught to cut other styles. If you complete your first stone during the course you can progress to learning the process of an emerald cut. You will gain the ability to work safely and effectively with lapidary machinery in  cutting and polishing gemstone facets.
