This 3 day course will give you hands-on experience of the main gemstones used in jewellery.
You will handle, examine and be taught how to identify a huge range of gems from rubies and sapphires, emeralds, aquamarines, tourmalines and opals.
Skills Gained:
You will learn easy techniques for using pocket instruments for identifying stones. You will be able to train your eye to recognise their unique characteristics and gain tips to help you distinguish synthetics, simulants and treatments. A pack of pocket instruments and course notes is included in your course fee.
