The course will cover the following types of settings:

• Cut down pave work, V Claw (typically used for engagement rings
• Roman setting
• channel setting (rows of stone inlayed vertically to the walls along the band of a ring. This setting works well as an engagement ring or as a shoulder accent to a wedding ring)
• Illusion (a disc of metal is inserted into the top of a setting, which with the right faceting can give the illusion of a larger stone).
