Make Your Own Silver Jewellery – Evening Course
Join us at the Holts Academy of Jewellery for this eight week jewellery making course, giving you insight into how to make your own jewellery.
This exciting course will take you on a journey in to the world of jewellery design, creation, stone setting, metal polishing and finishing. You will be given all the materials you need to create your own items and everything you make is yours to keep at the end of the course – ideal for yourself as to give as a unique gift.
Your tutor is a full time jeweller based in Hatton Garden who will be able to enrich and enliven your studies through his own experience and passion for the jewellery trade.
Our small class sizes, experienced tutors and not for profit ethos adds up to an unforgettable experience.
Course outline
Week 1: Introduction to the jewellery industry, tools, materials and techniques, health & safety
Week 2: Project 1 – create a silver pendant
Week 3: Project 1 continued
Week 4: Project 2 - Design your own jewellery piece
Week 5 Project 3 – make your own jewellery piece – including creation from scratch, stone setting, polishing and finishing.
Week 6: Project 3 continued
Week 7: Project 3 continued
Week 8: Project 3 continued plus workshop on how to continue making jewellery at home
