Sarah Herriot who has been a student at Holts and a full time designer for the last four years but previous to this had no design experience or training. Sarah won the first prize for a finished piece for a trade professional with a stunning ‘egg ring’ in fine twisted gold. Sarah was also highly commended in two other design categories, she said ‘I find that engineering and problem solving are an intrinsic part of the design challenge of each piece and I aim to produce work that has enduring qualities of form, design, simplicity and a natural elegance’.
