Jewellery Design Diploma

The Jewellery Design Diploma course came to life after years of experience in Jewellery education. The course covers the different array of skills and knowledge needed in order to become a professional Jewellery designer.
The course content includes a balanced mix of hands-on and theory based knowledge, which will enable the student to develop his/her creativity while acquiring the tools to communicate those ideas in a professional way.

- You will be taught the trade terminology
- History of Jewellery, design periods and styles, and the future of Jewellery Design
- How to take your creative ideas into paper by using technical drawing, freehand sketching, drafting techniques and perspective drawing.
- The student will introduce depth, transferring a 3 dimensional idea in a 2 dimensional piece of paper.
- Colour and shading incorporation to enhance the designs generating a lifelike rendering.
- The relationship of available materials to known manufacturing methods.
- How the design and manufacture of a piece influences its price and desirability.
- An overview of Computer Aided Design that will open up a whole new world of possibilities for the new designers.
